New York Community Bancorp is the holding company for one of the largest thrifts in the US, New York Community Bank, as well as New York Commercial Bank (also dba Atlantic Bank) and seven other banking divisions. In its home state, New York Community Bank operates through Queens County Savings Bank, Richmond County Savings Bank, Roosevelt Savings Bank, and Roslyn Savings Bank. It serves customers in New Jersey through its Garden State Community Bank division. New York Community Bank also does business as AmTrust Bank, which operates in Arizona and Florida, and Ohio Savings Bank. Altogether, New York Community Bancorp has about 275 bank branches in five states.
